We Will Train Your Child To Pass The NYC Gifted And Talented Exam On Their First Try!
Last year our students performed at 95% on the Gifted and Talented
exam and received placement in premiere Gifted and Talented programs in schools like Nest, Brooklyn School of Inquiry, P.S. 229, P.S.204, P.S.205, P.S. 99, P.S. 215 and others.
ABOUT THE GIFTED AND TALENTED
TEST PREPARATION COURSE:
Your child receives 16 one and a half hours training sessions (24 hours) to prepare for the exam.
Classes take place on Saturday at 9:30 AM, 11:30 Am and 1:30 PM. Alternative scheduling and 1 on 1 training preparation can be arranged.
Classes are held at the JEI Learning Center In Bensonhurst at 7721 18th Avenue or at New York Chess & Games in Park Slope at 192 Flatbush Avenue. You may select your location during registration.
Training consists of NNAT and OLSAT preparation and mock exams to gauge and ensure progress.
To do well on the Naglieri Nonverbal Ability Test
(NNAT), children are taught and strengthened in:
Pattern Recognition, Reasoning By Analogy, Serial Reasoning and Spatial Visualization.
To do well on the Otis-Lennon School Ability Test
(OLSAT) children are taught and strengthened in their Verbal Comprehension which measures their ability to manipulate or respond to information through listening such as following directions, and their Verbal Reasoning skills which measures their ability to discover patterns or relationships and to solve problems through the use of language such as aural reasoning and arithmetic reasoning.
Classes are small and have a maximum of 4 students per class to allow for personalized instruction within a small group setting.

WHO IS THE GIFTED AND TALENTED
TEST PREPARATION COURSE FOR?
This program for you if you have a soon to be kindergartner with a birthdate of that you want to be placed in one of the elite programs offered by the New York City Department Of education. This program is also for you if your son or daughter is in grades 1 through 3 and you want them to be moved or placed into a Gifted And Talented program in their school or the option to transfer to another school that offers the program. The Gifted and Talented Test Preparation course is for dedicated parents who are firmly comitted to giving their child the best chance to succeed at passing the exam on the first try. Your child must attend all 16 classes in order to prepare properly to perform at their best during the exam. They will be competing with thousands of other students also vying for for only a few hundred spots in the program. To be selected they must be in the top 5 percent.
This course and program is not for you if you are not committed to bringing them every week to ensure they are prepared. Learning and mastering the skills, strategies and techniques they will be taught will take time and repetition. You must be willing to devote the necessary time needed for your child to adequately master the comprehension, techniques and exam strategies taught to them.
This course and program is also not for you if you are looking for a training program, or test preparation course that is free. Our methods, teachers and materials are of the highest standard and our results from the last two years show a 95 % average success rate among our students for passing the exam and being placed in the Department Of Education's Gifted And Talented program.
