The Brooklyn Kids Chess Camp specializes in helping kids strengthen and develop the crucial skills of focus, concentration, problem solving and strategic thinking. Campers are accepted between the ages of 4 years and 12 years old.

 

 

 

Kids Enjoy:

 

• Two professional chess lessons everyday. Once in the morning and once in the afternoon. Grouped together by age and skill levels. Each group has a maximum ratio of 7 campers to 1 senior instructor.

• Every week the camp visits and explores amazing places such as the Sony Wonder Lab, The Hayden Planetarium, The Harry Potter Exhibit and The Classic Children's Book Giant Exhibit.

• Hours of engaging "hands on learning" and exploring nature, science, math and music at places like the Hall Of Science, The New York Aquarium, The Brooklyn Botanical Gardens and much more.

• Outdoor sports and fun physical activities such as soccer, basketball and tennis.

• Soccer, Tennis, Basketball and park play are all regular parts of the daily and weekly summer camp experience. The campers receive expert instruction in fundamentals as well as strategy for their level and physical ability.

• They also enjoy amazing trips to cool educational places throughout the city. Every year we scour the internet and newspapers to find the latest and most interesting child friendly exhibits and places to take the kids. The staff takes pride in ensuring the campers receive a well rounded, fun and enriching  summer experience and truthfully, we enjoy the trips during summer camp just as much as the campers!

The cost for summer camp is regularly $450.00 per week. This includes free breakfast daily, trip carefare and admission, Brooklyn Kids Chess Summer Camp T-shirt and 10 hours of supervised, eductational summer camp care. The hourly cost per parent averages out to approximately $10.00 per hour per day.
